Endpoint, Sunspring, Big Wheel, Shedding – May 14th

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

Based on the speed of the first show selling out and the number of people that missed tickets, a second Endpoint reunion show has been officially announced! This show will feature Endpoint, Sunspring, Shedding, and Big Wheel on May 14th, also at Headliner’s. Tickets will be available on March 26th again at Ear X-Tacy, Ticketweb.com, and Wild & Wooly. Tickets are $15 advance, and $18 DOS (I guess they’re going to keep some for the door?).

March 2010 scene report

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Here’s the original, uncut/unedited version of the scene report that ended up in Please & Thank You zine #1 that was released on Saturday, March 6th. Eric is out of town this weekend with most of the zines, but I’m sure Mike Stewart still has some if you want to pick one up. Keep in mind that this was written for a zine that came out the first weekend of March 2010.

Two UofL radio shows tonight

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

From Eric:

Spring is finally here! For our first show of the new season, we’re playing nothing but happy fun music. No bummers this time around. We’re playing Peter and Craig’s “Spring” 7 inch, Lifetime, Bandname, The Max Levine Ensemble, Delay, and tons more!

Our good friends from the Dead Nuns house are starting their first radio show right after ours, right at 9. Tune in! They are doing a one hour show covering Bay Area Punk (Op Ivy to Neurosis).

Alcohawk finishes new recordings

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Local party boys Alcohawk have finished up new recordings. See below for details from their FB page.

hi everyone.

We just finished up recording at Studio K. which is probably the best and most amazing thing to happen in Louisville since Skull Alley opened. Expect a 7inch on Brightskull Records in the spring, along with a possible CD-R release around Derby time.

We are playing a house-esque show on March 12th, check out our events for more info! We will have new shirts (designed by Ryan Patterson), and koozies for sale. Stay tuned to the event page to find out where the venue is (stop snitchin’).

legalize it, Alcohawk
