Duncan and I did a couple of interviews at the Millions/Tombs/BD/HTM/SA’s show last night. If the video looks good on playback, I’ll get some of the stuff edited together and put it up here this week. We didn’t get to How To Murder or Straight A’s, but interviews with them will be coming soon as well as other extremely … awkward… interviews.
Wurmkraut is planning a CD release show on May 16th @ Skull Alley. Stonecutters, Sowing Dischord, and A Cold Sleep will also be playing.
I didn’t know about this when I posted the “upcoming releases” post a few days back, but The Teeth, Rude Weirdo, and Mother Tongue are not only playing together at the Pour Haus on April 18th (forum post says 3/18 though), but a free CD of all the bands will be available at the door. Nadeem says “Badass flyer coming soon”.
Some of you may remember Matt Olsen who ran the Louisville Showcase site for years. He’s currently working on plans to provide an online repository of local music using torrents. He’s interested in compiling out-of-print releases by defunct bands, and then only with permission from the bands and their labels (if any). If you are looking to make your old band’s material available again to local people, get in touch with Matt and get more info on the project. His blog/site can be found at http://www.blackheva.com
