OUT. – Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Songs (30th Anniversary Edition)

Noise Pollution has officially announced a new 30th Anniversary vinyl edition of OUT.’s CD ‘Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Songs’. From the label – “Celebrating 30 years since its recording on Derby Day 1996, OUT.’s classic album “Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Songs” is now available for the first time ever on LP. This 30th Anniversary Edition has been remastered for vinyl from the original mixes and features 2 never-before-released songs newly mixed by original recording engineer Kevin Brownstein (Kinghorse). The cover painting has also been beautifully re-imagined by original cover artist Catherine Irwin (Freakwater).”

The new vinyl edition will come in two versions – ‘Golden Forked Marble’ and ‘Obliteration Red’. There’s completely new interior design for SDSWS and the Low Rent 7″. You can get either/or/both as a pre-order from Noise Pollution’s Bandcamp now, or you may be able to pick them up on January 31st as there will be a listening party/release party at Surface Noise.

Russ Pollard – drums
Chad Donnelly – vocals

Camp Spaceman show updates

For anyone planning on attending or playing some of the upcoming shows at Camp Spaceman, please be aware that they’ve received a Fire Marshal visit and are temporarily – we all hope – moving shows to other venues. I’m sure that more updates will be coming soon, and hopefully positive ones at that. While all ages venues vs the Fire Marshal is a old tradition at this point, Camp Spaceman has been a fantastic space so far and barring a shutdown order it will surely get even better over time.

Moved shows at time of posting:
* Militarie Gun – October 31st – MOVED to Portal (1512 Portland Ave)
* Loveletters – November 3rd – MOVED to What The Lou (1101 Goss Ave)
* No Cure – November 14th – MOVED to Spinelli’s (571 N 4th St)
* Shitfire – November 28th – MOVED to Mag Bar (1398 S 2nd St.)

Endpoint – Catharsis re-release

One of the best and biggest Louisville, KY, hardcore albums of the 90s is back. After being out of print for 30 years, Catharsis has been remastered and faithfully on a 2xLP set from Equal Vision Records. With the re-release, Catharsis will now include the “Idiots” cover 7″ songs and 2 songs from the Sunspring split 7″. The release comes with a new gatefold jacket and insert featuring the iconic front cover, back cover, and many never-before-seen photos scanned from the original negatives. Ryan Patterson recreated the artwork, and was luckily able to re-scan the original negatives from Chris Higdon. Includes new liner notes and scans of some of the more interesting show flyers of the period. Side B on the second LP (shown above) contains an etching of the “Idiots” cover art, with the band drenched in ‘blood’ ala Samhain.

Equal Vision has the pre-orders up now, and you should get on it as soon as possible – the first run is 100 of each vinyl color. Keep an eyes out – maybe there will be some other re-releases or even a show coming.

Charmer re-release

Breather Resist - Charmer record store day exclusive

It’s 21 years on but Jade Tree (or maybe Epitaph as Jade tree?) and Breather Resist are re-releasing a limited edition version of Charmer. From Evan:

I formed the band BREATHER RESIST with Geoff, Steve, and Nick in 2001. In four short years, we created an EP CD 10 inch released by @deathwishinc and @kotmrecords , a slew of 7 inches released by various labels, and the one (and only) pinnacle LP 12 inch full length album titled CHARMER released by @jadetree We recorded the album with our dream engineer Kurt Ballou @godcitymusic and captured a body of music that to this day we truly hold dear. The original 2004 Level-Plane Records released pressing was limited to only 500 copies and quickly went out of print. On November 28th 2025, CHARMER will be reissued as a Record Store Day exclusive. We’re thrilled to have this record available for you again and hope you are too.

Looking forward,
Evan

So… I guess a shitload of us are getting up early to stand in line for Record Store Day this year. I hope Guestroom and whoever else has it is ready, 1250 isn’t going to be enough.
