Zero Fest

This year’s Zerofest is being planned for Saturday, October 15th from 12 noon until midnight. To avoid some of the problems from previous years, the fest will be held indoors w/ two stages. Drake Hatfield (who is in charge) is looking for more bands to play, and if your band is interested, send a CD (no mp3s or anything) to:

DCR/Straight Laced

Dead City Rejects have recently lost Graham “I can’t get my scooters running” Goff as their drummer. He has been replaced by Chico (formerly of Erchint fame). So don’t be suprised when you see dreadlocks behind the drums instead of boots and braces.
Speaking of boots and braces, Straight Laced is still having Graham play drums as they look for a permanent drummer so G.G. can go back to geetar.

Lords Swords album info

Lords‘ new record, Swords, is coming out on Jade Tree, who has released the following info:

LORDS first album for Jade Tree, combines the “get in the van” urgency of a forgotten era of SST influenced punk rock with an awe-inspiring precision and swagger of late 80’s American thrash metal. LORDS deliver their unique brand of volatile thrash in a blaze of towering riffs, near heretical rants and throttling drums. Swords (JT1107) is a torrid and unrelenting assault that leaves a trail of scorched earth in its path.”

More quittings & Fests.

Louisville’s pop-punkers Pocketbomb are officially calling it quits. No word on why their “dance party” is ending, but they are playing the 2 shows listed on the shows page, taking a break to relearn all the old songs not on their new record (Intentions) and playing one last show in late summer/early fall.
Tony Ash has reportedly left Coliseum, but I haven’t talked to anyone in the band, so don’t quote me on it (although I know you will. fuckers).
