Louisville Showcase, run by Matt Goth-Olsen, has folded up. Taken from the front page (all that is left online) is the following statement…
“Goodbye.
I’m not doing this anymore. I’m tired of spending money on a music community that doesn’t care. I’ve spent over $3000 dollars during the life of Louisville Showcase, and Louisville Music Index to keep it running. So, go be “Maximum” and spread your bullshit words of “Scene Unity” somewhere else.

According to the Radiotakeover website, Emmanuel has been nominated by Kerrang! as the best newcomer of the year. Winners will be announced on August 25th at the ceremony in London, England. If so inclined, you can vote for them at www.kerrangawards.com…

“we finally got our shit together and will be playing at the Bulldog Cafe in fairdale with Bane.
For those interested and who know the history behind our line-up, we will be playing 3 old Armbar songs along with 4 new ones that are sure to knock your teeth out and maybe knock you sister up.
we are giving the scene a swift kick in the mouth and putting the “hard” back in Louisville Hardcore.”
Pitch a tent
The recently debuted Dr. West is going to be history after the 27th. The word is that the vocalist just gave up and didn’t want to keep rocking… so Chubbs is going to jump in and help transform the band into Camps, who will be playing out very soon.
If anyone from here was planning on going to Hellfest… sorry, but it’s cancelled. Stay in Louisville and check out SR Fest instead!!!
